Florist Tips

 Tip 1. Not sure what to send?
Send a florists choice and we'll make the decision for you!
Pick something that YOU like or
think what colour theme the recipients house is and go for those colours.

Tip 2. On receiving your flowers, clear off and leaves that may be under the waterline.
 Re-cut the stems and use the flower food provided.
 Make sure your vase is super clean.
Bacteria in the water can shorten the life of your flowers.

Tip 3. Trim off the outer guard petals of any roses. 
We and the growers leave these outer petals on to protect the flowers during transit.

Tip 4. Every few days re-cut the stems, re-clean the vase and add more flower food solution.
Take out any stems that are fading - remember some flower varieties,
 by their very nature, last longer than others.

Tip 5.  Display your flowers in a cool place away from fires, radiators and direct sunlight.

Tip 6. Don't bash the ends of the stems with a hammer. 
People used to do this years ago and wondered why their flowers died.
 The process smashes the stem cells and stops water and
food from travelling up the stem of the flower.
